Motherhood Mondays

Last Friday we had a little taste of winter here in Austin. Looks like another round of freezing rain with snow flurries is in the forecast again for tomorrow!
Could we possibly have another snow/ice day?

Oh what fun we had!

OMG..AM I am Witch? TLC Book Tour Review

This week I have the pleasure of hosting and reviewing  OMG Am I a Witch? by Talia Aikens- Nunez and Alicja Ignaczak all thanks to TLC Book Tours.

OMG AM I Witch? takes us on a journey of sibling rivalry like no other. April Appleton can no longer handler her annoying brother so she searches the internet for a spell to turn him into a dog! Well, by the luck the spell works! April, realizes she just might have more magical powers than she realizes. Only thing is she is running out of time to turn her brother back to normal before her parents find out! What is a girl to do?! Can good friends and a magic book save the day?
One can only read and find out!

I really enjoyed this book! For being in my 30's this book had me laughing. I loved the witty humor  and I felt it was really easy to get into the characters. I think this is a good book that any reader would enjoy and especially readers who just might find their siblings to be on the annoying side.

This book may be purchased in Amazon

BIrthday Wish List

BIrthday Wish List

Not asking for a whole lot this year. I've been wanting a Clairsonic for some time and I am in love with these earrings! I love jewelry. Of course new makeup, a spa treatment, and a loss of 10lbs would also be nice.

Brady Needs a Nightlight TLC Book Tour Review/Giveaway!!

I have the pleasure of reviewing and giving away a copy of Brady Needs a Nightlight by Brian Barlics!

Brady Needs a Nightlight is a fun read for little ones, especially if you have a child that is scared of the dark or is simply having trouble with bedtime. Lots of children have a fear of the dark so being able to relate to Brady, a bat who is afraid of the dark, will allow them to explore together.  With the help of friends (in this case with fireflies) there is nothing to be afraid of!

This book does a nice job of explaining to the young reader what noises they might hear during the night (such as owls or coyotes), as well as showing how friends can help one another when facing a fear.

This was a quick easy read and a bedtime book that I recommend you add to your child's library by entering the giveaway below or purchasing on amazon.

Brady Needs a Nightlight also won the Mom's Choice Award Honoring Excellence seal.

Thank you TLC Book Tours for allowing me this opportunity. I was compensated with a free copy of Brady Needs a Nightlight and all opinions are my own.

To Enter: Open to all US and Canada Residents only
Please leave a comment stating what your favorite bedtime story is along with your email address. This is how you will be notified if you have won!
Entries accepted thru midnight on Jan 13th (CST)
Winner will be chosen by random.org on Jan 14th

Motherhood Mondays

This past weekend we headed to Dallas where we spent time playing at the American Girl store and buying some accessories for our bitty baby. We then headed to my friend's house where her daughter and Elle enjoyed an afternoon and evening of playing with one another. They were literally two peas in a pod. So sweet. Sunday, we then met up with my brother-in-law and nephew who were in Frisco for the NDSU Championship game. We went and toured the AT&T stadium aka Cowboys stadium.  It was a real neat tour and such a beautiful stadium. It was so fun having Elle see family since we have zero family in Texas. She laughed the entire the time and just wanted to be by her cousin's side. He was a trooper.

Washing the car! Beyond fun.

Our Very Merry Christmas

Our Christmas was very good but also very quiet. Almost too quiet for my liking. Christmas Eve was spent attending a wonderful children's mass with our good friends and then enjoying an evening of appetizers, desserts, and face timing with my family while we opened up presents.  In the morning, we enjoyed our tradition of reindeer pancakes and opening up our presents from Santa. Elle also got to see her very first movie on Christmas Day. We went and saw Frozen and we loved it!
