Maternity Shoot

Last Friday my husband and I had a maternity shoot session that was taken by Vicki Lynn Photography. We had so much fun that I was laughing and crying. I was crying cause I felt so in love with my husband and then I also started to get all teary eyed as for the first time in some ways it really hit me that I am going to be a mommy in 6 weeks!

In the meantime, I have been ordered by my doctor that I need to slow down. This means my days of zumba
{cardio dancing} are over until little Miss R arrives.

Here are some of my favorite photos that were captured from this wonderful evening.

For those of you that are moms when did reality set in that you were going to be a mom?!

Baby Shower: Tea Party Bliss

What a memorable weekend it was. On Friday night we had our maternity photo session and it was so much fun! Then Saturday some friends hosted a tea themed baby shower for me and it was beyond perfect. It was a small intimate gathering and I couldn't have been more blessed with how generous my friends and family near and far were.

Here are some of the lovely details of the affair.

Sweet Baby Shower Themes

I am so excited for this weekend as some of my close girlfriends are throwing me a baby shower in celebration of Miss R's soon to be arrival. It means a lot that this group of ladies have come together for me especially since my closest friends and sister are out of state and they are not able to attend.
I can't wait to show you photos and details of my baby shower next week. In the meantime, how sweet are some of these baby shower themes & details?

I love the hanging bebe letters so much that I would love to recreate the letters and hang them up in my daughter's nursery.

Back to Reality

Happy Monday! I definitely enjoyed my week off as it was not only relaxing as I treated myself to a spa day but I was also pretty productive. I love that feeling of being able to cross things off on my to do list. Some of those tasks entailed completing all of our baby classes expect infant CPR {which we will complete in November}, find a Pediatrician, put together changing table, purchase chair and end table for the nursery, and most importantly.... find daycare! Oh what a relief it was on Sunday night knowing I actually accomplished all this.

I also tried out a new chicken rice recipe that turned out delicious expect I over did it a bit with the pepper. Oops and on Saturday my husband and I had a wonderful date night. We had dinner at a French Restaurant that he has been wanting to try out for some time and oh my goodness was it delicious!

So with that I will be starting my week feeling accomplished and a lot less stressed which is a good thing cause its now back to reality.

Are any of you " to do listers" and if so do you agree that its a great feeling to get through those lists?!

A charming Outdoor Party

How adorable is this outdoor picnic wedding table set up as seen via Party Perfect & Designs by Nina? I think this set up would also be a cute idea for a surprise birthday party or even a romantic dinner such as a proposal setting.

and... I really LOVE this idea.. a photo tree which would fit in nicely with this type of outdoor celebration. I think doing a photo tree is a very cute, romantic idea.{ I may have to keep this in mind for Valentines Day as my husband and I always celebrate with a picnic in the park.}
